About us

Travel shouldn't be a luxury for a few.

Sobhuza Sunrise Trails was started in Bulawayo with one belief: every Zimbabwean deserves to see their own country.

Our story

Hosted by Lihle.

Lihle spent ten years working in hospitality in South Africa, looking after guests and learning what makes a trip feel effortless. She came home to Bulawayo with a Diploma in Tourism and Business Studies and a simple idea: the places international visitors pay a fortune to see should be within reach of the people who live here.

Sobhuza Sunrise Trails is that idea. We keep groups small, prices clear and plans careful, and Lihle hosts every trip herself. She speaks English, isiNdebele and Shona.

What we stand for

Three promises.

Our vision is a Zimbabwe where everyone can afford to travel. Our mission is safe, fun and affordable trips, with Bulawayo as our home.

  1. Small and personal

You travel with Lihle, not a big bus company. Every trip has a host who knows your name.

  2. Careful planning

Licensed passenger transport, checked accommodation and a plan for every day.

  3. Honest prices

One clear price with everything listed. Choose the extras you want and leave out the rest.

The name

Why a sunrise?

Our logo is a cairn of balancing rocks in front of the rising sun. The rocks are the Matobo Hills, the place we know best. A cairn is what travellers build to mark the trail. And the sunrise is the moment every trip is for.
