Lake Kariba is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world, created when the Kariba Dam was built across the Zambezi in the late 1950s. The trees of the old valley still stand in the water, and at sunset they make one of the most photographed views in Zimbabwe.
Spend the days fishing for tigerfish, cruising the shoreline, visiting the dam wall, and watching elephants and hippos come down to the water.
